Vision will be leaving for Bangalore, India in a week, next Thursday
night from Bradley Terminal on Emirates Airline via Dubai. Everyone
has received their travel visas including Josh Yeh, who had his
electronic Tourist Visa application denied, so he had to apply for a
regular ten year multiple entry visa (much more expensive) which he
received on June 28. Tim and Kloe Kim, founder of Serving Foundation
International (SFI) and Vision's hosts, left LA for India on June 27
to finalize the details for Vision's coming.
Thank you all for supporting Vision and praying for us, some of you
for many years, and some just signing up this month. It is your
prayers that have made each Vision trip so fruitful. Because the
Indian government has been taking a much harder stance against foreign
influences and especially Christian ministries, our reports this year
will be more discreet. SFI is registered as a non-religious NGO to
care for orphans and the handicapped although they are allowed to use
Christian teaching materials and teach Christian values and ethics.
So when we are at their orphanage, we have to be careful how we
approach the children when we use VBS (vacation Bible school)
material. When we are at the churches, we have much more freedom, but
since our email reports may be monitored, you will need to read
between the lines. So to get a fuller story, please plan to attend
Vision's Home Concert scheduled for Saturday night, August 20 at FEC
Glendale.
