Pre-trip Vision Update

Dear Vision prayer supporters,
Thank you all so much fo signing up to pray for Vision (if you do not
want to receive future mailing from us, please send a note to this
address asking to be taken off the prayer list).  As we prepare to
leave for Serbia next week, here is an update on what we plan to do
and how you can pray for us this coming week.

There will be 26 of us going this year.  Marshall Huang and Joseph
Hsiung are leading the team musically.  Slim (Stephanie Lim) is our
business manager, and Michael Hsu will be our main speaker (he is also
a bass singer).  Our sopranos are Meiring (Marshall's wife), Fiona
(Joseph's wife), Stephanie Huang, Melanie Go, Janine Sy and Keiko
Chen.  Altos are Slim, Czrilla Gounlong, Glenna Lin, and Cynthia Hom.
Tenors are Josh Yeh, Dillon Go (Melanie's brother), Brian and Brandon
Chioy (brothers), and Eric Lee.  Basses are  Michael Hsu, Alex Yeh,
Justin Lau, Leon Kwan and Jaspher Gounlong (Czrilla's brother).  In
addition, Nena Hovsepian, Director of Children's Minstery and and
Betty Anderson, English Minister of Equipping and Prayer from FEC
Glendale and Wahpui and Ellen Sam from FEC Arcadia are going with us.
Nena is doing the majority of our translation as she did last year and
Ellen is the Coordinator of FECA's Social Concern Ministry.  Pray that
God will knit us together in love to minister effectively in Serbia
and Macedonia.

We will be doing several new things this year.  Besides focusing on
the Serbian youth, we will be holding a 3 day music camp to teach some
Serbian youths how to sing and share and then bring them with us as we
go to the different churches and to Macedonia for 4 days of minstry.
Since these youths speak both English and Serbian, they can serve to
do a lot of witnessing and translating for us.  The Macedonian
churches have been encouraging their church members to go outside the
church walls to evangelize so they have invited us to come and use
music as a way to reach outside the church walls and will accompany us
to the community.

So pray:
1.  That we and the locals can work well together and others will
"know we are Christians by our love".
2.  Pray for both Serbian and Gypsy youths to join the music camp.
3.  Pray for perpared hearts and divine appointments.
4.  Last year, we had a lot of difficulty with airline seats and some
were almost left behind due to overbooking of seats.  Pray that we
will all be able to arrive in Serbia on the same flight and for
journey mercies and no lost luggage.
5.  Pray that the adults and youths will learn to appreciate each
other on this trip.
